How the Amazon Kindle has revolutionised the way we read

Ebook readers have done to reading and books what the MP3 player did to music, i.e. it has turned everything digital. This means you can now carry your entire library of books on a small and portable device that allows you to read what you want, when you want and where you want.
Amazon - What a store!
When ebook readers were first released they were very expensive, and whilst many potential customers saw the advantages of the ebook reader very few could justify the cost of the reader or the cost of ebooks. Many customers only had one option, which was to remain with traditional paper books until the Amazon Kindle was released.
The Amazon Kindle is the ebook reader that has single-handed revolutionised the way we read, which is mainly down to the price although there are a few other features. The Amazon Kindle is affordable and sold at a price that makes it available to the general public. Combine the low cost of the Amazon Kindle with its easy to use features and the Amazon Kindle bookstore and you have the recipe for an enjoyable reading experience that is simple enough for readers of all ages to understand and get to grips with. Many ebook readers made by other manufacturers are awkward and complicated to use but the Amazon Kindle is not.
The Amazon Kindle - This simple device has changed the way in which we read
When the Amazon Kindle was first released it could only be purchased from Amazon, which is understandable, however Amazon lost out on a lot of sales. Many people have had bad experiences when buying items from Amazon, which dissuades them from making future purchases, even though there is Amazon free shipping. It appears that Amazon has rectified the issue and the Amazon Kindle can now be bought from many different stores and retailers. Many manufacturers dislike letting many stores sell their products because there is a public perception that the product is not exclusive because it is so widely available. This can decrease sales but in the case of the Amazon Kindle it has led to an increase in sales. Amazon hasn’t lost any control over selling the Kindle in this way since it still sets the price, and the main thing is that Amazon has kept total control over the distribution of ebooks, which is where the long term earnings are going to be.
If you want to carry your entire library around with you at all times, and are in the market for an ebook reader that is simple to use, cheap, and has access to thousands of books the Amazon Kindle should be top of your list. The Amazon Kindle may not have as many features as other ebook readers, but you have to ask yourself the question of whether all the additional features are needed and are they worth the additional cost. As long as the ebook reader displays your ebooks that is all that matters, after all that is the primary reason you want an ebook reader, right? Yep, the Amazon Kindle is an excellent ebook reader in all respects.
